Beautifully machined. And of the correct material. (7075; not 6061)
Yes, the 6061 billet lowers from other suppliers are easier to machine, but they’re only half as strong. And then there are polymer (plastic) lowers available for about the same price as AMT’s 7075 billet lowers.
As a professional machinist, I absolutely recommend the 7075 material and AMT as a supplier. I’ve finished one AMT forged lower and one AMT billet lower. (so far…)

I am in no way a machinist by any stretch of the means. I own a Ghost Gunner 2 machine from Defense Distributed and use that to mill out my lowers. I have used DD lowers, Anderson lowers, and lowers bought from other companies and private sellers. The lowers sold by AMT are some of the best ones I have used thus far. I bought 3 anodized and 3 raw. I have milled two of the anodized with perfect results. I know if I start making weapons for consumers I will definitely be using AMT as one of my suppliers.
